School Access - The following databases are accessed through the library or the lab computers.


Grolier On-Line Reference -
Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia: 36,000 entries intended for students in middle school and up and as a quick reference look-up tool for public library patrons of all ages. New Book of Knowledge: 9,000 articles suitable for grade 3 and up as well as ESL. Provides description of complex subjects in an easy-to-understand manner.

Kidsinfobit - Covering 75 full-text curriculum-related magazines and 7 reference books, InfoBits targets the research needs of K- 5 students. It features a developmentally appropriate and visual graphic interface and a subject-based topic tree search.

Infotrac Junior Edition -
Mainly full-text magazines, newspapers and reference books for junior high and middle school students covering current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.

Biography Resource Center -
Integrates Gale biographies with full-text magazine articles, images, and website links. Search for current or historic people by name, occupation, nationality, ethnicity, birth/death dates and places, or gender, or by keyword and full text. The optional Marquis Who's Who® module provides quick reference information on over 1 million additional people whose entries have appeared in more than 20 Marquis sources published from 1985 to the present.

Literary Reference Center -
Literary Reference Center (LRC) provides users with a broad spectrum of reference information from antiquity to the present day. LRC is a completely full-text database that combines information from over 1,000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources not available anywhere else." BigChalk E-Library -
Information from books, magazines, and newspapers. Includes maps, pictures and transcripts from TV and radio.


Home Access - To access the these databases from your home, you need to have your NOBLE public library card. Please be ready to enter your 14 digit library barcode when asked to do so.
